Accidental Billionaires, The Founding of Facebook
Last Tuesday, the Street Attack team went down to the Brattle Street Theater to see Ben Mezrich, author of Bringing Down the House (the story of the MIT students who took Vegas for a ride). This go around, Ben was in town to promote his new book, The Accidental Billionaires (which is about more smart college students who get lucky).
Accidental Billionaires is about sex, money, genius and betrayal… and the founding of Facebook. It’s also about how the world’s greatest social community was the brainchild of a couple of geeks looking to get laid… go figure.
The book has been gaining a lot of press, mainly for its controversial one-sided point of view. Lacking Mark Zuckerberg’s perception can we really count this as the truth, or is it just a revenge tale forcing the reader to take pity on the guys that were left behind in the success of the site?
Perhaps we’ll get the real juice when they turn Accidental Billionaires into a movie. The only question left to answer is… who plays Mark Zuckerberg?
