On this week’s digital download Facebook buys friends, starts a search party, and goes on a diet….impressive week.

I guess Facebook didn’t have enough friends since they  purchased FriendFeed earlier this week. Actually, the acquisition was  just another puzzle piece in their master plan for world domination…I mean real time search.

Facebook is also going fat free…I mean lite, creating a faster, simpler…more Twitter like…version of its self to provide easier accessibility….:cough:and kill Twitter:cough….

In other news, that is not Facebook, check out what your Twitter “Social Mojo” is via Yahoo. You might be a BFF and have thousands of @replies or a Cheerleader and constantly RT. Noticeably absent was the ever popular Bull Tweeter, you know those people that constantly tweet sh*t.

Seems like the centralization of the web is bringing about a battle of the browsers. Google is throwing the first punch with a “Caffeinated” project that will focus on improving performance and next generation infrastructure.

Purely speculation, but rumor has it that Apple is planning a delicious social networking app for iTunes.
