<p>Microsoft continues its <strong><a href="http://techfragments.com/news/839/Tech/Microsoft_Bing_Search_Launches_Early_Preview.html ">quest to overthrow Google</a></strong> and rule the world (of search)…Bing! But it has some <a href="http://www.mediapost.com/publications/?fa=Articles.showArticle&amp;art_aid=107214"><strong>major work</strong> </a>cut out for it.</p>
<p>Wolframalpha is stirring up interest as the new “<strong><a href="http://mashable.com/2009/05/19/wolfram-alpha-better-than-google/">Computational Knowledge Engine</a></strong>,” it can do your math homework but it can’t find your blog.<br />

<p>Only one more day till iPhone launches its mobile ad platform AdMob, <strong><a href="http://www.marketingvox.com/new-iphone-ad-units-focus-on-social-search-fresher-rich-media-044269/">see what is in store</a></strong>.</p>

<p><span style="font-family:arial;">Besides sex, there is nothing quite like sociopolitical controversy to fuel an ad campaign. True to their &#8220;United&#8221; color, Benetton has decided to push the envelope yet again and showcase a Tibetan monk and Chinese soldier bowing towards each other in a mutual display of respect.<br /></span><a href="http://fashionreporters.com/2008/08/a-monk-from-tibet-on-benettons-olympic-campaign/"><span style="font-family:arial;"></span></a><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Qj2ZS_Xzr4M/SKBzqgeE6TI/AAAAAAAAANk/jTjsJEB8tSI/s1600-h/benetton41.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5233309941112301874" style="" alt="benetton41 Benetton Unites Tibet and China" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Qj2ZS_Xzr4M/SKBzqgeE6TI/AAAAAAAAANk/jTjsJEB8tSI/s400/benetton41.jpg" border="0" title="Benetton Unites Tibet and China" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-family:arial;">The campaign is aptly titled Victims, and is open to interpretation. One can assume it might relate to both the brutality towards Tibet and the devastation incurred by the earthquake in China. Benetton is using its Colors magazine to showcase pictures from the earthquake paired with Tibetan prays for the Chinese. While Benetton tends to push controversial ads to the point of overkill, this one sends a pretty powerful message.
